Easy Magic Tricks

Magic tricks are very easy to perform. Also, people of all ages enjoy these tricks and they are a great source of entertainment. Here is an easy magic trick which you can perform with a little bit of practice.

The Magical Pentagon of Toothpicks :

In this trick, you will make a magical pentagon with toothpicks which breaks up when you want it to. First, dip one toothpick in liquid dishwashing soap. Keep it away. Take a pan and clean it properly. Then fill it with water. Do all this before facing the audience.

Now, in front of the audience, arrange five soapless toothpicks into a pentagon. Ensure that the tips of the toothpicks overlap so that the shape remains. Now, ask the audience to see the pentagon.

Once they have satisfied themselves, tell them that you will use your magical toothpick to break the pentagon. Now, take the sixth toothpick the one dipped in soap) and dip it into the center of the pentagon. All the toothpicks forming the pentagon will simply break away.

If someone says that there is no magic involved in this trick then ask him to perform it. He will not be able to break away the pentagon.

The reason behind this easy to do magic trick is actually science. We all know that everything in this world is made up of molecules. Now, the water molecules also bind together. The water surface has a layer of molecules which like to stay together and it called surface tension. So, as long as the toothpicks were flat they were sticking together and floating on this layer. But by dipping the 6th toothpick, you disturbed the surface tension and hence they broke apart.

Thus, we can see that it is extremely simple and easy to perform magic tricks. Nowadays, there are several books and even websites which teach magic to people. So, keep trying new tricks every day and become a great magician.
